Financial Update

2019 has been a year of many changes and transitions so it is easy to overlook the great things
God has done in our midst that would not have been possible without your faithful giving to CWC. I want
to tell you about a few of the things your giving has allowed College Church to do in pursuit of its goal of
making more and better disciples who transform the community and resource the Church. This year, we
have continued to expand our ministry opportunities in East Asia by formalizing a partnership with IWU.
The What If? Campaign is allowing us to once again partner with Senda de Vida in Mexico City to build
classrooms in their building for the first time ever. What If? has also allowed CWC to begin funding the
Ross Hoffman Conference Center in Sierra Leone. Locally, CWC has hosted more than 700 community
events over the past year. These things and more were made possible all or in part thanks to your
faithful and generous giving.

As 2019 comes to an end, it is also important to begin to think about your own year-end giving
and we ask that you keep College Church in mind as you prayerfully consider where you will direct your
remaining gifts for 2019. As of last week, November 17th, College Church’s general fund is still
$71,950.02 behind in budgeted giving. Should you feel led to direct all or some of your year-end giving
to College Wesleyan Church, you may do so at any time up until Sunday December 31 st when the office
will be open from 9am to 1pm to receive those gifts. You may also give online through the CWC website
using the “Give” link in the upper right of the web page. Should you have any problems giving online,
please contact the church office and we will be more than happy to assist you. Also keep in mind, should
you prefer to mail a check to College Church, your envelope must be postmarked no later than
December 31 st for your gift to be credited in 2019.

Lastly, as of November 17 th , $2,513,271.24 has been pledged to the What If? Campaign by you,
the members of the congregation. Of the amount that has been pledged, $175,066 has been received to
date. We will gladly accept your contributions toward the project at any time; however, we would
request that your pledges be received by the end of the year in order to provide the building committee
with an accurate working number going into the next phase of the building project. If you would prefer
to designate your pledge online, you may do so by going to https://collegewes.com/campaign/ and
clicking on “Pledge Your Support.”

Thank you again for your faithful and generous giving so far this year. I look forward to seeing
what God has in store for College Church in the future which can only be accomplished through your
continued generous and faithful giving.
