Some ideas to stay connected

Specific JCB Programming:

the COVID-19 response plan

What Do You Need

If you have any needs at all during this time, or your youth has any needs, please email Pastor Elizabeth or Pastor Joel. Though we will be making calls and checking in with families, we would love to know how we can specifically serve you well in this time!

Tuesday Evening Bible Study:

Every Tuesday evening at 7pm, we will be joining a Zoom call to study the Bible together even when we are far apart! Join us! The link for the Zoom call will be on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Social Media

We will be posting at 1pm every week day, with a different theme for each day. Follow our Facebook and Instagram platforms to connect and to see the additional online events we are adding during this time of social distancing.

Sunday Evening Message

Every Sunday, we will be sending out a message for families to listen together or for students to listen to on their own. We encourage families to make a “life group” out of their own family and discuss together, while still encouraging students to reach out to their peers from JCB and discuss together as well. Questions for discussion will also be sent along with the video.

Parents Email

Parents will still be receiving regular parent emails each week to get an update on all things JCB! Join The Weekly newsletter if you have not already to stay in the know!

With so much that we can't do, what CAN we do?

Be The Church

Church is not defined by the space that we meet in, but by Christ and how we live and serve like Him. Ironically, this is exactly what we were going to talk to our students about this week- and what better way to talk about it then to SHOW IT! There are many ways that we, as the body, can come together and serve each other.

In the meantime: read Phillippians 2:1-4 and discuss with your family what Jesus is calling us to right now with this verse.

Meeting Physical Needs

If you are interested in helping provide food or physical resources to children and families in our community who are in need, we will be sharing information on Sunday as to how you can help in this effort!

In the meantime: read Matthew 25:35-40 and discuss with your family what Jesus is calling us to in this time with this verse.

Meeting Emotional, Mental or Spiritual Needs

Check-in with your kids, friends, family, neighbors and others in your life! Ask questions- how is your soul? What has been on your mind? How can I care for you well in this time? What is God inviting us to?- and create space for good conversation and care.

In the meantime: read Exodus 17:8-16 or Hebrews 13 and discuss with your family what Jesus is calling us to in this time with this verse.

Neighboring Well

On Sunday, CWC will be releasing a resource to help us discover ways that we can neighbor well in this time. Let us live and love well with those around us during this time.

In the meantime: read Mark 12:28-30 and discuss with your family what Jesus is calling us to in this time with this verse.

Regular Prayer

If you want to be actively be apart of lifting prayers on behalf of our church, community and world, we will be offering ways that you can do so on Sunday!

In the meantime: read Ephesians 6:10-20 or 2 Chronicles 6:18-21 and discuss with your family what Jesus is calling us to right now with this verse.

What Do You Need?

Please reach out to us if you or your child are in need of anything during this time! Reply to this email and let us know!
