Our Mission

Our Values
Transformation
When Jesus says, “come and follow me,” he invites us to take on his character, his habits, and his posture toward the world. We seek to say “yes” to that invitation, reflecting holiness in our thoughts, instincts, actions, reactions, and ways of relating to God, others, creation, and ourselves. (Matthew 4, Romans 12:1-2)
Humility
Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” Accepting that invitation, we seek to walk in the humility of Jesus: embodying teachability, openness, and a non-anxious presence with our neighbors, leaning into the call to be “completely humble and gentle bearing with one another in love.” (Matthew 11:29, Ephesians 4:2)
Community
Scripture refers to the church as the “body of Christ,” with each member being a part of the greater whole. In this body, we seek to center our lives on the way of Jesus as a community—caring for, nurturing, admonishing, and celebrating the many parts of our body which (together) represent the greater family of God. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Acts 2:42-47)
Diversity
The Kingdom of God includes people from every time, place, and language. This body is spiritually formed and has true peace when people with different experiences, backgrounds, and expressions of faith are in right relationship with God and one another. God has reconciled each of us through Christ and has called us to be ministers of his reconciliation. We seek to steward the diversity of God’s people, reflecting heaven here on earth. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:26-28; Revelation 7:9)
Generosity
God’s posture is always inclined toward loving generosity. In response to a God who “loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,” the early church sought to embody that same generosity, as believers “sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.” We seek to embody God’s posture of generosity by living open-handedly with all we have. Instead of asking, “How much can we keep?” we ask, “How much can we give?” (John 3:16, Acts 2)
Our Beliefs
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, truly God and truly man. He died on the cross and was buried, to be a sacrifice both for original sin and for all human transgressions, and to reconcile us to God. Christ rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven, and there intercedes for us at the Father’s right hand until He returns to judge all humanity at the last day.
